Rails 2 Riches update

The fifth annual Rails 2 Riches took place in Killington Vermont on December 12, 2009. It was utterly cold night that made your toes ache from just watching. Epic rail dancing moves were thrown down that evening. Even Killington local Lucas Magoon competed.

Some rider's got tired after a long day of competition and took some nasty spills.

Some riders went big like Danny Toumarkine who took home third place for the guys.

Laura Rogoki took home first place prize $1000 cash. She was representing hard for the ladies in the snowboard world.

Shaun Murphy got second place. Well deserved by an East Coast local.

Forrest Bailey became a two time Rails to Riches winner that night. Effortlessly stomping down tricks.

Budweiser visits Killington

Budweiser is a a common name around these parts, but Killington was lucky to be a stop for the East Coast Hitch of the Budweiser Clydesdale's this December. By chance we caught them at the Wobbly Barn before they started back down Killington Road to the Pickle Barrel where they are spending their time here. We actually caught the caravan of semi's heading up on I-89 last Tuesday (sorry, no pictures) as we were heading over to Manchester NH for some line showings. A pretty cool tradition and very cool to see them up close, and to learn about them, check out this link.

RAILS 2 RICHES 2009

Rails 2 Riches has been moved due to unfavorable weather and snow conditions to Saturday, December 12. There is still time to get pumped and get up here next weekend.
The $15,000 Rails 2 Riches Rail Jam for skiers and snowboarders returns for the fifth year. The competition is held under the lights with a blazing bonfire. Come watch as these elite skiers and riders battle it out for a piece of the cash. Don’t miss the after-party!

Skier and rider jam finals

After Party
The official Rails 2 Riches after party at Outback Pizza at 8:30 p.m. on the Killington Access Road. Competitors will receive complimentary pizza, Red Bull and admission. The Rails 2 Riches finals will be playing along with a DJ and Red Bull drink specials all night long! 18+ with a valid ID to enter.
